Hi, I would like to know anout the opportunities in KPO services in ‘Management Accounting’ area.

Are organization doing it? If not, possible reasons? If yes, who are the service providers? etc….

Answer:

Hi Rajen, thanks for asking. Yes, a few companies are going for KPO services in ‘Management Accounting’ , and you as can understand this is serious KPO, and trust and people compatibility is very important because often the team works directly with VPs and CXO of the clients.

Such KPOs are very few and are being formed mostly by NRIs returning to India. They have prior relationships with the clients either and sometimes they have themselves worked in that company while they were in USA, Canada, UK, etc. We will try to do a post on KPO services in ‘Management Accounting’ by Jan 2009.

KPO companies of various types (incl. legal process, sales process, analytics) are poised for continued growth in the coming years. Here’s a very recent press report from Times of India, that talks about the growth experienced by LPO (Legal Process Outsourcing) companies.

These developments are line what we wrote in our earlier posts in 2007 and 2008.

We have also observed that KPO is a profitable business if the client relationships can be managed.
